Dr. Andrea Chen is a board-certified dermatologist. She performs Mohs micrographic surgery, cosmetic surgical procedures and laser dermatologic procedures and practices general dermatology.
Dr. Chen obtained a BS in Biological Sciences from the University of Chicago, where she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society and graduated with honors. She received her MD from New York University, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Additionally, she conducted research in melanoma at the University of Louisville and co-authored several papers.
After completing an internship in internal medicine at the University of Louisville in Kentucky, Dr. Chen moved to Florida to serve her residency in dermatology at the University of Miami. There, she received an award for excellence in resident teaching, and participated in research on the healing of chronic leg wounds.
Dr. Chen followed her residency with a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and procedural dermatology.
Dr. Chen is board certified in dermatology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
