This exciting new treatment combines micro-needling with radiofrequency (RF) technology to promote the growth of healthy new collagen and tissue. How It Works
A handheld device with gold-plated micro-needles delivers RF energy to the dermal layer underneath the surface of the skin, where collagen is produced. The heat generated from the RF energy stimulates the body to create new, healthy collagen and tissue, and creates far more dramatic results than would be obtained with micro-needling alone. The results of this procedure are more comparable with those of a fractional laser treatment, with the added benefit of a faster healing and recovery period, since the top layer of skin is completely protected and untouched during the procedure. This makes INFINIskin a great option for all skin tones and even darker skin, as there is low risk for hyper-pigmentation.
What Can I Expect During Treatment?
There can be some discomfort with this procedure, so we will apply a topical numbing ointment to the treatment area before we begin the procedure. The procedure will typically take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the treatment area.
How Many Treatments Are Needed To Obtain My Desired Result?
While it is different for every patients, we typically recommend two to four treatments, which are spaced approximately a month apart.
What Can I Expect After Treatment?
Because your surface skin is unaffected during treatment, recovery is fast and the healing process is mild. Immediately after treatment, there is redness and some swelling, which will mostly disappear within 24-36 hours, and be completely gone in about a week. There may be some minor pinpoint bleeding where the micro-needles were placed on the skin, and the treatment area may feel rough to the touch for a few days. Most patients resume all normal activity within 1-2 days.
How Long Before I Will See The Results From My Procedure?
You can expect improvements in the first few weeks after your initial treatment. These improvements will increase over the next six months, as your body continuously produces new collagen.
How Long Will My Results From This Procedure Last?
Because this procedure is stimulating your body’s own resources, the results remain effective over a long period of time relative to other procedures, and can last for years.
