when evaluating a leukemia patient with skin lesions, consider 4 groups in your ddx:

1.medication reaction
2.leukemia cutis
3.infection
4.reactive condition a group of neutrophilic dermatoses: Sweet's syndroms, pyoderma gangrenosum, LCV, neutrophilic hidradenitis

Bleomycin        

flagellate hyperpigmentation

 

Cytarabine (ara-C) (2)                        

acral erythema; neutrophilic eccrine hidradenitis

 

Fluorouracil        

serpentine hyperpigmentation (overlying veins proximal to infusion site; represents postinflammatory hyperpigmentation from a chemical phlebitis)
