an infiltrative benign lymphocytic condition (B-cells) of the skin, especially of the head and neck
mnemonic:  B-cells, Borrelia borgderferi

 

ddx:

primary lymphoma (absence of follicle formation, presence of atypia)
Jessners (lesions characteristically wax and wane; absence of follicle formation; a T-cell proliferation)
tumid LE (evidence of basal-cell liquefaction degeneration)
angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia, metastatic carcinoma
