•aka Polymorphous Eruption of Pregnancy
•most common gestational dermatoses
•primigravidas
•biopsy non-specific
•begins late in third trimester or early post-partum
•lesions begin on abdomen in 90% of patients (in a few days may spread in a symmetric fashion to include buttocks, thighs etc…)
•initial lesions may be confine to striae
•characteristically spares peri-umbilical area
•mean duration = 6 weeks (not severe > 1 week)
•most clear within one week of delivery
