AKA recurrent infantile digital fibromatosis
spindle cell tumor
fibromas on fingers and toes;   first year of life;   involutes spontaneously
clinical:  asymptomatic, firm, red, smooth nodules,  may look like a “clove of garlic”
ddx:  accessory digit;  traumatic neuromas
characteristic histology: inclusion bodies in cytoplasm of spindle cells (look like RBCs but are probably actin)
treatment:  Andrews “surgical excision has a high risk of recurrence;  it is preferable to procrastinate in the hope of spontaneous resolution”
