• | autoantibodies in patients serum react to either the roof (epidermal side) or the floor (dermal side) of the split to help with diagnsosis: |
• | EBA - floor (collagen VII) |
• | bullous SLE - floor (collagen VII) |
• | cicatricial pemphigoid - roof, floor, or both: roof (BP2 antigen) = most common; floor (collagen VII) = least common |
