Acral

“Acral” refers to extremities, tips or high points.  It often means fingers and toes, but can include the tip of the nose and ears.  It also can more loosely mean: hands and feet.  There are two useful clinical ddxs:

 

1.acral purpura
2.acral erythema

acrodermatitis enteropathica

papular acrodermatitis of childhood (Gianotti-Crosti)

acrokeratosis verruciformis (histology: "church-spire" papillomatosis)

acrokeratosis paraneoplastica

acroangiodermatitis (pseudo-KS)

acrodynia

acrocyanosis

acrokeratoelastoidosis of Costa
