emergency contraception  (effective if taken within 72hrs of unprotected sex)

Preven 2 tabs PO Q12hrs X2

 

 

acute urticaria:

adrenalin 1mg/ml (1:1000)  0.5 ml SQ  (works quickly, they feel better after a few minutes, but they will get tachycardic and feel jumpy for a bit)

 

 

Eyelid ptosis (with BOTOX):

Iopidine drops  TID
Naphcon A (OTC)  QID
Alphagen drops TID  (not as potent as iopidine but easier to find)
(lasts 2 to 4 weeks)

 

 

Restylane bumps:

Vitrase (hyaluronidase) to dissolve bumps (vs. I&D)

 

 

Yeast infection from antibiotics: - Diflucan150mg X 1 dose

 

Pain Meds:

percocet 5/325  (oxycodone/acetaminophen)  1 tab PO Q 6hours
Vicodin 5/500 (hydrocodone/acetaminophen) 1 to 2 tabs PO Q 4-6 hours
Tyelenol #3 (=30mg codeine, 300mg acetaminophen)  1 tab Q 4-6hrs PRN pain (MRX1)
Ultram [50-100 mg PO q4-6h prn]Alt: start 25 mg PO qam, then incr. 25 mg/day q3 days to 25 mg qid, then incr. 50 mg/day q3 days to 50 mg qid, then maintenance; Max: 400 mg/day; 300 mg/day if >75 years old
